Last week Guy Carptenter hosted the launch for Disaster Insurance Reimagined: Protection in a Time of Increasing Risk, a new book by Professor Paula Jarzabkowski, Dr Konstantinos Chalkias, Dr Eugenia Cacciatori, and Dr Rebecca Bednarek.
The book explores the multi-stakeholder partnerships necessary for insurance to be a successful form of financial protection from disaster. The event included guest speakers, and panels with lively discussion on the future of insurance in a disaster-prone world.
