Professor Paula Jarzabkowski is presenting a chapter on Paradoxes of Protection from her and her team’s forthcoming book on the origin, operations and evolution of Protection Gap Entities (PGEs) at the Insurance and Society workshop at the Max Planck Institute 9-11th June. As Professor Jarzabkowski notes, “Insurance is so taken-for-granted in our everyday lives that its critical financial role in society is often invisible. I am delighted to engage with this brilliant group of social scientists in exposing and explaining the integral role of insurance in society.”
